Phosphoribosylanthranilate isomerase ( PRAI ) is monomeric and labile in most mesophilic microorganisms, but hydrophobic cluster, and the number of salt bridges is increased in tPRAI . These features appear to be mainly responsible for the high thermostability of tPRAI.
